Technical Deep-Dive
Here’s the heart of it: we built these around a high-voltage design, typically 400V. That power pushes high current through a compact carbon filament, which is the secret to the intense heat. It means you get a lot of heat packed into a small space. So your system warms up quickly, and you get precise control without needing a heater that’s way oversized. Most units are rated around 2500W, and the 300mm tube length gives you a reliable thermal pattern for those focused heating zones.
Material & Design
We chose a quartz envelope because it can handle rapid temperature swings without cracking. It stays stable even at extreme heat, so you can cycle the element on and off without worry. Inside, a halogen fill gas shields the filament and keeps the output consistent over time. The coating is tuned to shape the infrared spectrum, so your treated surfaces absorb the heat more effectively. And the R7s connector? It makes installation simple. It’s a clean, two-ended fit—mechanically and electrically—so it drops right into your existing reflector assemblies.
Application & Benefits
These elements shine wherever you need fast, localized heating—PET blowing, thermoforming, drying lines. The high-voltage approach also has a practical upside: it lowers the current for the same power, which can make wiring easier and let you use smaller conductors. That said, the high temperature means you need to plan for heat management. A solid reflector design keeps everything around it within safe limits.
