Continuous Curing Ovens: Why One Size Doesn’t Fit All
We build continuous curing ovens for brake pads, and here’s the thing we’ve learned on the shop floor: ceramic and semi-metallic pads just don’t soak up heat the same way. If you try to treat them the same, you end up wasting energy and risking uneven bonding. So we built our infrared oven around that reality, with heat that adapts to the material.
The Power, Voltage, and Geometry—Without the Headache
Our infrared curing line runs on 400V, so it delivers steady current to high-wattage elements without straining the power supply. We size the tube length to match the oven’s dwell zone, so the heat lands exactly where the part travels. A 300mm halogen tube focuses energy into a tight area, giving you intense heat in a compact space. It’s targeted intensity, not overkill. But that kind of punch means you need cooling and ventilation that’s up to the task—so the chamber temperature stays under control.
The Details That Keep It Running Smooth
Halogen chemistry keeps the filament stable, even when it’s heated and cooled again and again. That helps the output stay consistent over time. The tube is quartz, so it can handle rapid on/off cycles without cracking under thermal shock. We also add a reflective coating to push more energy down onto the pad surface. Less wasted radiation. Better uniformity across the belt. And the connector is R7s—chosen because it installs without tools and keeps contact resistance reliable. It’s a drop-in fit in standard fixtures, so swapping tubes is quick. No rewiring. No fuss.
Curing That Actually Cares What Material You’re Using
Ceramic pads and semi-metallic friction materials absorb heat differently, so the oven can’t just be “on.” It has to be tuned. With our infrared setup, you can match the spectral response to the pad type, so the resin cures evenly without scorching the surface. You get a bond line that holds up, fewer rejects, and throughput that stays steady. And it behaves predictably shift after shift—even when you switch material grades. No second-guessing. Just a process you can trust.
