What It’s Made Of: Quartz, Coating, and a Simple Connection
The envelope is quartz, because it handles the shock of rapid on/off cycles and lets infrared energy through cleanly. Inside, the carbon filament gives you a broad infrared spectrum—great for heating organics, plastics, and surface coatings. A halogen gas fill helps keep the filament temperature steady, so it holds up better over repeated cycling. We also add a reflective coating on the envelope to push more energy forward and cut down on wasted side radiation. And the connector? R7s—simple, two-ended, and made so the lamp drops right into many standard fixtures. Wire it, aim it, lock it.
