It runs on 220V and pulls 1500W. Inside that clear quartz tube is a carbon fiber element that turns electricity into infrared heat almost instantly. Why carbon fiber? Here’s the thing: old-school metal coils take their sweet time to warm up. Carbon fiber doesn’t. It hits operating temperature fast. Really fast. Plus, it doesn’t just warm up the air around it. It sends out a concentrated beam of infrared energy that actually sinks into your materials. It gets the job done from the inside out. The science (without the boring part) Compared to tungsten or halogen, carbon fiber stays a bit cooler on the surface but pumps out a ton of mid-to-long wave infrared. We wrapped it in clear quartz so the heat flies straight through to your workpiece instead of getting trapped in the glass. But a heads-up: these things are a bit finicky. **Do not touch the glass with your bare hands.**Seriously. A single fingerprint or a smudge of oil can create a “hot spot.” If that happens, the glass can crack or the element might just burn out. Grab some gloves and keep them clean. Fitting it into your setup If you’re looking to swap out an old lamp in an industrial dryer or curing line, this should slide right in. Just a couple of things to watch for. Since it pulls 1500W, make sure your wiring and relays can actually handle that load. You don’t want a voltage drop killing your efficiency. And give it some breathing room. Because it packs so much power into a 550mm frame, you need good venting. If the heat gets trapped around the ends of the lamp, you’ll fry the seals and kill the lifespan of the unit.
