Instead of using the old-school tungsten filaments you see everywhere, we went with carbon fiber tucked inside a high-purity quartz tube. It changes the way the energy hits your target, making it way more focused. It’s fast. Really fast. At 900W, this thing packs a punch. We designed it for systems where you need to hit your target temperature in seconds, not minutes. Because the carbon fiber core can handle higher surface temperatures without needing a thick filament, you get a massive amount of heat from a tiny footprint. Just a heads-up: keep your power supply steady. If you get a bunch of voltage spikes, you’re going to fry the filament, and nobody wants to deal with that. The build quality The quartz tube is the real hero here. It takes a beating from extreme temperature swings and lets the infrared waves slide right through without soaking up the heat itself. We chose carbon fiber because it stays put. Metal alloys tend to sag or warp when they get screaming hot, but carbon fiber holds its shape. That means your heat stays even from one end of the tube to the other. One tip: if your gear vibrates a lot, make sure your mounts are rock solid. Quartz is tough, but it’ll crack if it’s rattling around. Putting it to work You’ll mostly see these in PET blowing, plastic welding, or drying tunnels. If you’re still using old halogen tubes and your ramp-up time is killing your productivity, these are a great swap. But be careful. 900W is intense. You’ve got to get your distance just right, or you’ll end up scorching your material. To keep things safe and consistent, I’d suggest pairing these with a PID controller. It takes the guesswork out of it and keeps your substrate from overheating.
